CASE STUDY 2 : How Transformational Coaching helped a client to SkyRocket her Career !

Image
The Transforming Power of Coaching – Kalpana Khot THE SITUATION Neha seemed to have all the external trappings of a successful life. Married to a successful man, a wonderful child, a successful career with an MNC. But her marital relationship was all a facade that she tried to maintain for as long as she could. The constant mental abuse and pressure of managing all her responsibilities started taking a massive toll on her emotional health. One day, she walked away from her marriage and took her advocate’s advice of leaving her job so she could claim higher alimony for their child. Without a job she had no choice but to shift to her parent’s home. THE PROBLEM STATE The once chirpy, happy-go-lucky girl was now dull, self-doubting, emotionally crippled, financially dependent. Her self-esteem had tanked, and she was fearful of taking even a single step towards the future, which appeared to be in total darkness. Her isolation was complete when she started having difficu...

Case Study 1 : How Coaching Helped a Client to Bounce back and Unlock Possibilities

Image
How Transformation Coaching helped a Client to Bounce Back , Take ownership of her E ntrepreneurial Abilities, take LEAD and Unlock Possibilities My name is Smita (name changed for privacy purpose) and I have been an entrepreneur for 20 years. I started with direct marketing, then began advising as a financial planner and achieved tremendous success there. At one point I had crossed 500+ clients and was awarded in the Life / General Insurance segments multiple times by esteemed financial institutions. Since my early age my passion was to create my name as an entrepreneur but also had a strong desire to empower women, and with that intent I launched her day-care center and then a pre-school. For a decade, both my financial and educational work flourished.  But the last few years were challenging because of some emotional issues that started to fuzzy my thinking and the stress led me to doubt myself. I closed the pre-school center and continued with the day care...

Celebrating My Personal Journey as an Authentic Leader !

Image
For most part of my personal journey has been exhilarating and rewarding. Yet, identifying and creating personal choices has been difficult too. The price paid to keep my opinions live was not always worth it. While often labelled as an expert in being straightforward and clear, I felt the pressure to live up with what I put up in words. I wanted to be a model for others. Indeed, there were times when I could actually do that. At other times I pretended while I disintegrated inside. At that time, it became evident to me that real assertion had to begin within. My goal was to clarify my values, likes and dislikes, and most of all become comfortable with my inner self. The person within me knew what to do. I had to open to what she was telling me. But what if it meant risking change? Among the most difficult risk for me are those in my career. Much of my identity and security are tied up to my professional life. I had made three major career moves overall from my C...

YOU’RE WORTH IT !

Image
I thought WHY should women empowerment be the subject of conversation only in the Month of February-March. Women deserve the privileges they are offered more than just on a single day because they are worth it, every day of their life. Even today as I coach women through various segments of the society, at different phases and ages, I see somewhere there is an underlying fear of asserting themselves fully and stand for what they are and how they wish to project themselves in the world they live in; knowing well that they are worth it. The lion's share of knowing that "you are worth it " my dear ladies &girls is being willing to able to take a stand on your behalf. Powerlessness and diminished self confidence are products of passive inferiority women have accepted without complaint. Although, women are achieving more, outdistancing previous generations of men and women, they sometimes tenaciously continue to devalue themselves and their contributions. Deep d...

The Power of NO

Image
No: The Most Powerful Word to Relearn which helps us prioritise and leads to more Success and Happiness We've been taught that it's good to say "Yes", to juggle a million things, to do and achieve as much as we can in as short a timeframe as possible! And as a result, stress and overwhelm are endemic in modern culture. But the difference between people who succeed and those who don't (and between people who enjoy life, and people who feel stressed and overwhelmed) is not people who say "Yes", but those who are willing to say "No"!  "No" is the most powerful word in the dictionary. What's interesting is that when you were small, you felt quite at home saying "No". When you first learned to say "No" - you probably loved it! It's that moment in our young lives when we suddenly realise we don't HAVE to do what we're told - and boy does it feel good! But it's inconve...

Take four deep breaths in and out, inhale for a...

Awakening the Little Genius in You

Image
The Personal Excellence Program related to “Performance Coaching” is developed to help students to perform at the peak of their abilities, it involves drawing out their strengths, helping them to bypass personal barriers and limits in order to achieve their personal bests, and facilitating them to function more effectively through careful observation and feedback. Parents act as good guides and caretakers to their children providing them a safe and supportive environment. They attend to the external context making sure that what is needed is available, and that there are no unnecessary distractions or interferences from the outside. Here we mean basic needs are provided to ensure the child’s physical and mental health.   The next set of parents the child is exposed are the teachers in their lives. Teaching relates to helping a person develop cognitive skills and capabilities. The goal of a teacher is generally to increase competencies and “thinking abilities” relev...
